Grandma Gail's Garden

Two of my favorite pictures
It was so fun to be in ML this summer to help plant the garden and watch it grow. It was truly amazing to watch everything blossom the last few weeks we were there. What a joy to look out the back window and see all this beauty. Plus, Gail grew some awesome veggies. Marlee has been eating cucumbers whole the last few weeks. She is out of control. Anyway, mom is so talented and dedicated, and this summer I got to see first hand why. Nature is so beautiful. I can't believe this was all just a pile of manure when we got there.

I think the Lily's were my favorite

Outside looking in...I couldn't resist

Til we meet again....

Well we are getting ready to leave Moses Lake. The summer has gone SO fast. I can hardly believe it is over already. It has been such a WONDERFUL opportunity to be here this summer. The Earls have all been so good to us (Mom, Dad, Ryan &Nena) We have loved being around family again, and they have shown us nothing but love and consideration since we got here. I am so luicky to be a part of 2 such amazing families. We have been SO blessed this last year in our lives and this was just another blessing.
Collin is already back in SD moving us to our new THREE BEDROOM townhouse (YAY!!!). We are going to Lake Powell for a week and then stopping in Denver for a few days to see our new nephew/cousin baby Logan. Then it is back to South Dakota to unpack, yuck. I don't know the next time I'll be able to post due to a lack of internet service, but until then we love you all and hope you are all doing well. We will get some good pics of Powell up asap.
P.S. I am 16 weeks now and all is well, sickness is FINALLY starting to calm down. We will find out when we get back from our trip and find a new Doc what the baby is! We can't wait. Thank you all for your love and support.

Rain Cloud?

Have you ever felt like there is a rain cloud hanging over you? Like in a cartoon? I swear this last week and a half or so I have felt like I was on a TV show or something. We have just had bad luck. It all started with the camping thing when Marlee burnt her hand. Then, the night we got back I was having some terrible pain in my stomach and had what the doctors think was an ovarian cyst burst (not fun). After that Collin came in from the back yard and didn't see Mar standing behind the door only to get her little finger smashed (same hand!). What a nightmare. So all seemed to be well until I woke up a few mornings ago and saw that Marlee's finger was HUGELY swollen and bright red. As I was getting dresses to take her to urgent care is got smashed yet AGAIN and blood squirted out all over. We got her there only to find out that her growth plate in her finger was most likely fractured and was also infected. Anyway, I am done complaining I just hope our bad luck is DONE for a while...knock on wood, today is FRIDAY THE 13th. I guess she really is my little accident prone daughter.

Happy 4th!

For our 4th of July celebration we went camping at the Three Rivers in Idaho with Ryan, Nena and the kids, Scott, Jenn and their kids, and some more friends of the Earls. We had a really good time despite a few minor setbacks. We were sick one day, I ended up with green hair, and the night we got there we were setting up camp a bit later than planned and it started to get dark, so Scott set up his lantern. Well, before I knew it, Marlee was reaching out to grab it and before I could say "MARLEE NO" she was SCREAMING. She had grabbed it and all five of her little fingers were blistering. I HATE that feeling. It was so sad. I felt horribly guilty for not seeing it coming. This is what it looked like in the morning.

It was her first time seeing fireworks. It was so fun to watch her get so excited. She kept saying "oh...pretty". It was cute. They went on for hours, but she was so pooped that she fell asleep in my arms after about an hour and then slept peacefully in the tent when I layed her down....until about 5 the next morning...

There was a lot of BEAUTIFUL scenery there too. It was a very stunning drive and we had a lot of fun at the little beach by the river just a few miles down from camp. It was a really fun trip and we are lucky to have such great friends and family.
