Disney On Ice...Again

I don't know why it has taken me so long to do this post, but yes, I took Marlee to Disney on Ice...again. We got $15 tickets for opening night, so how could I resist? This year we went with my sister Jenn and her two girls Tori and Lizzie. We went to Village Inn for dinner on the way there because it was free slice of pie night, and of course there were all sorts of old people there "oohing" and "aahhing" over the girls. It was hilarious. They all dressed up as Aurora (the ONE princess who did NOT make an appearance), had "fancy"hair, got crowns, light up princess rings, light up butterflies, you name it. We even suckered while we were there and got them sno-cones and cotton candy. It's all part of the experience! They had a blast and, as usual, one of my favorite parts was watching those three little girls light up every time someone new came out to skate. Love it. We had an awesome night! Thanks for going with us Petersons!

"Hubub, Hubub, Cloud So High"

I didn't know until yesterday that Makenna would sing the entire song of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star til I heard her doing it in the kitchen. Of coarse, I grabbed my phone and got her to do it for me again. In the middle, I realized that instead of singing "'up above the world so high", which are the words she sings "hubub hubub cloud so high". I thought it was hilarious. She is such a funny little stinker. She also decided to whisper the last line for dramatic effect...which also made me bust up. This girl keeps me on my toes!

WELCOME GAVIN!!!

My sister Nikki had her baby last night. She wasn't due until April 22nd, but was having signs of pre-eclampsia. They put her on bed rest, but apparently it didn't do enough and they had to take the baby early. He was 5 lbs 8 oz. He is currently in the NICU with some IV's and on oxygen. He won't be coming home this weekend, but hopefully soon. His name is GAVIN LEE! We're just glad he is here, and that they are both safe. Can't wait to cuddle this little man. He evens up the Whitmill grandbabies to 6 girls and 6 boys (Nikki having 4 of them!)! Welcome to the chaos baby boy!

The "Incident"

On Tuesday last week I went to Target with my sister Jenn and her kids after preschool. Marlee was at a play date so I just had Kenna with me to kill some time. We shopped around, picked up the new Barbie movie and decided to head out. Since I wasn't going straight home, I decided to run to the bathroom real quick and asked Jenn to keep an eye on Kenna while I was gone.

When I came out from the bathroom I heard screaming, and as I got closer I saw Jenn with Kenna and a couple Target employees hovering around with their walkie-talkies. I then realized, it was Kenna screaming. She had jumped out of the cart and gone around the back side of the automatic doors, when they opened for someone, her hand got smashed. It looked really bad when I first saw it. They wanted to call an ambulance, but I thought she would be ok for me to drive her in. They had us fill out some paperwork and they took pictures of her hand, oh, and they gave her a free Icee, which helped calm her down! Then, I took her to the Urgent Care clinic. Luckily nothing was broken. We gave her some drugs and brought her home. She had what almost looked like a blood blister (but wasn't) on her palm and some deep indentations from where she was stuck. It is still marked up and a little bruised, but looks WAY better. I am just glad it wasn't anything more serious.

I may, or may not have mentioned that my husband was at work...at his LAW FIRM when this happened. It is kind of a nice card to pull when necessary, ha ha. Really though, I reassured them that I wasn't going to try and sue anyone. Although, the next day, I had 4 or 5 phone calls from their corporate office checking on Makenna and the "incident" at Target. It was really no ones fault, I am just glad to be done with it!

(I know this picture is terrible, but it was with my phone and it's the only one I have)

What the Strep???

As many of you know, Collin and I both had strep about 3 1/2 weeks ago. After we got it, my sister Angie got it, and so did her daughter Sophie. Then, my sister Jenn and her hubby. Next my niece Tori last week. Now, this week all THREE of my sister Nicole's boys have it. I went in yesterday morning and came out positive yet AGAIN. Now today, my mom, Angie and Angie's husband Tyler all went in. They both have ear infections as well. WHAT THE CRAP!?!?!?
I am SOOOO over this. We are all starting to think that one of the kids is a carrier, but this is just nuts!! I don't think it is a matter of the anti-biotics not working the first time around either because I have felt fine the last couple weeks and was diligent about taking all my meds and switching out tooth brushes and sanitizing stuff. Boo. I am really bugged.

Almost Feels Like Spring...

Well, I am FINALLY posting again. I feel like things have been so crazy lately with Collins new job, me doing hair, the girls, etc... Oh well, make sure you check out the two posts below that I did today as well.
I was getting ready to take the girls to pre-school on Thursday when I realized how dang cute they looked (no, I am not biased)! They were coordinated and I didn't even realize I had done it, til I saw them together. Plus. Dad (Earl) told me he needed some current pictures to frame at their house, so I snapped a couple shots on our way out.
(Marlee's eyes are SO light sensitive she only has them open in like two...but Kenna was workin' it!)
Have to get a self portrait every now and again...

Marlee is big into drawing our family right now. She did this on her Magna Doodle the other night and I thought it was really good. She loves to draw!

The Children's Museum - Take 2

We went back to the Children's Museum last week with my sister Nicole and two of her kids. It was my first time being back after my camera got stolen there. I am not gonna lie, it brought up some bitter feelings. I am still SO upset about that. Anyway, I grabbed my moms little point and shoot so at least I have some pictures this time. They got to paint, tap dance, climb, play with trains, and even go grocery shopping at a little mini Whole Foods. They even got happy meals on the way home. What a fun day!

Baby "Danger"

A couple weeks ago I watched my good friends Todd and Lara's new baby. Ok, so his name is not really "Danger" but that is what Todd wanted his middle name to be and it just kind of stuck. So, to us, he is "Baby Danger". Makenna is at the age that she just LOVES babies! Even though she isn't that much bigger than him she wanted to rock him, and hold him, and feed him. You name it. Marlee was determined to feed him his bottle and eventually ended up "accidentally" waking him up to eat. It was fun to have a little one around again. It made me realize that Makenna really isn't a baby anymore... I should feel like it is time for another one. But, for now, I am content!
P.S. If you are wondering what on Earth they are wearing, as usual, it's dress-ups!
