I Did It

For those of you who wanted pics...

I am still getting used to it, but I think I will like it.....for a while at least. I am so A.D.D. with my hair. It didn't cover my blonde 100% so I will probably end up fixing it myself anyway but oh well.....

Bye-Bye Blondie...

For the first time in over 5 years, I will be going to a salon tomorrow to get my hair done. I have only had myself, or my friends from hair school do it ever since I went to cosmetology school. I like my hair blonde, but it is getting SO frustrating to keep it up on my own. I sit in front of a mirror foiling my own hair about every 4 weeks, and I am SO done. So....wrong season or not....tomorrow I will be brunette. I am a little nervous just because I haven't been dark in quite a while and not with my hair this long....we'll see......I guess I might still chicken out.

I know the rest of the Earl blogs have already posted these, but here are a few of our family pictures from up at the cabin. Myca's best friend from high school came and she is an AMAZING photographer, check her out here. It was so nice of her to snap some beautiful pictures for us. Thanks Kristen!

No Go

I have been trying for weeks to get Kenna to eat baby food. It's still a no go. I tried again last night bananas even.....nada. She wasn't having it. I don't really know what the issue is. She ate rice cereal for a couple weeks when she was like 4 months but now she won't even take that at all. No veggies, no fruit. She's weird. She will eat table food like fries, bread, pasta but she refuses baby food every time. Little punk. No formula and no baby food....she just doesn't want to make it too easy on me! I guess she had to be difficult in SOME way. Little stinker.

Here are a couple pictures I snapped of her yesterday. I need to get some good ones of her for 6 month pics. I REALLY wish I had some photo editing software. Even a crappy one, because I think my pictures would look better...maybe for my birthday!

I love this one because it shows her rolls!

Blast From The Past

This past weekend I packed up the girls and made the drive down to Gering Nebraska to visit some old friends. We have known the Crandells forever. My parents moved to Gering after they had Angie and stayed until after they had Jenn. There are 5 girls in their family and 4 in ours, the younger 4 of theirs matched up age wise with our 4. Anyway, Abby and I have remained friends since we were born. She is having her first baby, so I went down for her baby shower and to see the whole gang. It was SO much fun to see everyone and reminisce about the past. We had some good stories. There are few things better in life than an old friend. Thank you all for a great weekend!

4th of July

Yeah, I was tired by this point!

Me and Kenna enjoying the game

We had a GREAT 4th of July this year. We went the the Rockies game with a big group. I took the girls because Collin was at work. My mom & Dad, sister Ang and her fam, sister Nikki and her fam, Nikki's in-laws and a few friends all went. We were all decked out in red, white and blue which was kinda fun. We went to the game which early on looked to be a bust, but they pulled it off in the 9th inning and won 18-17. Collin got off work early and because my sister Jenn and her family ended up going to Vegas, we had an extra ticket and he got to come join us....YAY! We had SO much fun. At the end of the game, they move a few sections down to the field and do fireworks. By FAR Marlee's favorite part. She LOVED it. She smiled and giggled the whole time, and has asked me to start the fireworks every night since. Even Kenna did well...I think it startled her a little, but she didn't even cry! It was awesome, and definitely something we will do again next year if we are here.

Her face was frozen this way!

Time Flies...

Just had to make a quick note....Makenna is 6 MONTHS old today. I can't believe it. I love that little girl. She is such a blessing, and I have loved every single day she has been in our little family. I'll take some 6 month pics and post them later.
