This year, we spent Christmas at my parents house. We always do a Christmas Eve devotional at church and then go home and start the rest of the Christmas traditions. My mom always gets all the grand babies Christmas jammies, so the girls had to model them:
The girls had been begging for MONTHS for pillow pets. Why do kids love them so much? They were thrilled when they saw them!

My kids BEGGED for pillow pets. It's the song that gets them I think. (its a pillow...its a pet...its a pillow pet!) I didn't get them, but was super grateful and happy for my kids when their greatgrandma got them each one.
Is that Church Christmas devotional a Denver thing, or our old ward/stake thing? I remember going to that every year when I was a kid but have never heard of anything like it since we moved away. I didn't appreciate it when I was a kid, but now I miss it. It really brought on the Christmas spirit.
Joseph and Ava begged for pillow pets too and Santa delivered! Ava wanted the bumblebee and silly Joseph wanted the Ladybug. Santa brought the puppy one for Gretel. We thought Joseph might want to trade with her but he LOVES his ladybug.
